easyJetHolidays bus arrives in Bristol with an eco-friendly flip-flop amnesty

easyJet, the south west’s favourite airline, hits the streets of Bristol today, as the easyJetHolidays bus arrives in town.

The interactive orange bus will tour the city giving everyone the chance to win some great prizes such as flights, easyJetHoldays (flights & accommodation), beach balls, base ball caps and flip–flops, ahead of the summer holiday season.

To celebrate the range of fantastic summer routes available from Bristol Airport, the easyJetHolidays bus is also holding a flip flop amnesty. Just bring last-season's, tired, old flip-flops which are probably lurking unused in the back of a wardrobe to the easyJetHolidays bus between 9-5pm today and we will exchange for a new easyJet pair. The European Recycling Company has teamed up with easyJet to collect the old flip-flops to recycle and distribute them to third-world countries.

The easyJetHolidays bus will tour the city centre throughout the day, stopping at key sights, including Temple Meads Station, Baldwin Street, Park Street, Broadmead/Union Street and Bond Street.

The easyJetHolidays bus is refreshing fun way to remind the people from the south west that they have a fantastic choice of 38 routes from their local airport, and more than 22 hot summer sun destinations. easyJetHolidays can tailor-make your beach or city break with a choice of over 10,000 hotels from budget to boutique accommodation.

The destinations on sale now for the summer from Bristol include Olbia (Sardinia), Split (Croatia), Biarritz, Bordeaux, Ibiza, Lisbon, and Madeira.

David Osborne, easyJet’s UK General Manager, said:

“easyJet has increased the number of routes from Bristol over the past year, adding great, new summer destinations such as Biarritz, Olbia and Split from our largest base outside London. easyJetHolidays is perfect for the independent traveller, providing convenient low-cost flights and accommodation from your local airport. We are particularly delighted to have teamed-up with The European Recycling Company to offer the people of Bristol the opportunity to exchange their old flip-flops for new ones and, in doing so, to provide a vital source of footwear to people throughout third-world countries."
